The first site we made for this artist (2009) featured a homepage animation made in Flash which was hard to lose (it was good!) but Flash is out and the site wasn’t responsive, so we had to make a new one.
The artist incorporates herself as a performer in many of her works, so we featured her in large banner images and then organized the extensive portfolios of work more simply so that it is easy to research the work.
The result is a site that honors both the artist’s performative side as well as the serious nature of her research and media work.
